Hello there!

I had been waiting to show you this, but I always get distracted with something else.  Here is a picture of one of my now favorites neck-less.

I made this neck-less short after my vacations in Saint John USVI. I found the shell during a hike we did with my dear boyfriend to one of the empty beautiful beaches. I picked it up because it was brocken and I imagine it was going to be a lot easier for my to use it that way, and that crabs won’t like a broken shell.

The neck-less was made using very basic Macrame technics that I learned a while ago in Tandil (the city I grow up). Macrame is very easy and helps me to take the stress away. Any body with a little bit of patience can do it.

I also got a beautiful black coral bracelet in the store of the friends of the natural reserve (or something like that), and I wish I could show it to you, but sadly this nice material wasn’t toddler resistant.

Well, there will be more coming soon.  :)

I was just playing around and made this short video to show you one of my new friends.

This super sweet looking squirrel is often visiting my boyfriend’s backyard, and it is earning weight pretty fast. Now I put him-her on diet by taking away the infinite supply of food. Anyway, as a revange, in a no soo sweet way, the squirrel broke into the bird’s seeds, disrtoing one of the feeders… I am afraid to admit I had create a monster…

The video is not very good but you can still appreciate the beauty of a happy squirrel.

Hello there!

This post is coming a little bit later. I was definitely distracted on Valentine´s day and weekend…  :S

Anyway, here you have a picture of the matching neckless and bracelet I prepare for my favorite 6 years old friend.

The beads are made with magazine paper, and the other beads are from a small bracelet I found a long time ago on the floor, so, with out taking in count the string that I had from previous projects, this valentine´s present was absolutely cost free.

Even the glue that I used for the paper beads was home made with materials I had in the kitchen (flour, sugar, water and a tiny bit of vinegar).
Hope you had a great valentine´s day.  Mine was awesome.  :)

I will be posting some more of my art project very soon.

ENJOY!

Thursday was a horrible day, rainy and cold. The perfect weather to stay at home.

When I discovered myself outside in the middle of the traffic, I decided that spoiling myself a little bit was the right thing to do, that is way I stopped by Helios to see how things where going.

For my surprise my bowls where cooling down in the oven, ready to go. There are not many things in the world that feel as good as still warm glass art in your cold hands in a rainy day.

Here are some pictures of my new creations. I can´t wait to go to Helios again and play with more glass.

ENJOY!  :)
